tornado

K is a tornado. She likes to make a big mess wherever she goes. She likes dumping things out, taking things apart, only to be bored and move onto the next project. Well, since Kwasn't feeling well, Daddy and K stayed home from church. When E and I came home, E walked in first and I heard her say, "Ah! Look mom!" and I walked from the garage to see a BIG mess in the living room. Puzzle pieces, books, toys EVERYWHERE. Before I can say anything, E exclaims to her daddy, "Were you not watching her?!?" I just laughed and smiled at my husband. That's right daddy. Were you not watching her?

clasped hands

While at the mall the other day, I told E to hold onto her Auntie's hand. E refused. She wanted to walk by herself. I told her again and she still wouldn't do it. So, I walked over to her and tried to hold her hand. She then said, "I holding my hand already! I holding my hand!" and showed me her hands clasped together.

this uh, this uh crazy

For the past couple of days, E has been singing "this uh, this uh crazy. this uh, this uh crazy." I meant to ask her what song it was but I'd get distracted by cooking or cleaning and then she stops singing and I forget. So, tonight while we were playing she started singing it again. Here's our conversation:

Me: "E, who sings that song?"
E: "Angelina Ballerina."
Me: "Angelina Ballerina sings that song? Are you sure?"
(I wanted to see if she really remembered where she learned it from. So, I asked her again."
Me: "So, does Marco sing it? (Marco is a character in the Angelina Ballerina show.)"
E: "Yes."
Me: "What about Mulan?" (I know. Not a character in the show but I wanted to see if she'd say yes. Because if she said no, I would know for sure it was from Angelina Ballerina.)
E doesn't say anything and continues to play. So, we go over to the computer. I go to pbskids and we find Angelina Ballerina. She watches a few episodes and we look through all the videos and then she gets very excited saying, "I want to watch this uh, this uh crazy. this uh, this uh crazy." We click on that episode and lo and be hold. It's her song. It's actually saying, Disco, Disco Crazy. :)

Go here to watch. Click on Angelina Ballerina (the mouse in the tutu) and find the episode "Disco Crazy."

"Mommy! You cleaned it up. Where did it go?"

E just came into the room and said, "Mommy, you didn't say I love you. We always say, good night, sweet dreams, and I love you before naps or bedtime.

The other day, she had taken her train tracks apart. She went to look for them to have her daddy put the track together again. But she couldn't find all the pieces. Who does she blame for losing the parts? Me. She said, "Mommy! You cleaned it up. Where did it go?"

Beep, Beep

*While driving home, E asked, "Mommy, push the button to beep beep!" I then said, "beep, beep." E said, "No mommy, not with your mouth. With the button."

*On another incident, she brought me her slippers and tutu and said, "Mommy, time to put these on." I thought she wanted me to wear them, so I asked her where? E laughed and said, "On my feet and belly mommy?!?!"

*K said apple today. Well, she said something that sounded like apple while she was eating an apple. :) She also loves to mimic and does a really good job at it.

Ahem

E wanted her dad to listen to her but he was busy fixing the computer. E said, "Hello daddy. I need you to talk to me. Ahem. Ahem." She said "ahem" while patting her chest too. Daddy of course had to stop and listen to her.

Welcome to "Innocently Funny"

A friend suggested that I keep track of all the stories I post on FB about my girls. I keep a blog about events in our lives but never the daily occurrences. So, I thought, why not. I want to keep track of these daily, weekly, monthly incidents so that my girls (and future children) can have to look back at. But, it's also a reminder to me about the joys of childhood.

Here's a few stories to start off.

2/9/2012
Little sheep. That's E's new nick name for her sister. Why? Well, she has a fairytale town map (that she loves,) and yesterday we were looking for things on the map to go to. Well, E wanted to go see the sheep. K then woke up from her nap and so we pretended that K was a sheep and "followed" E's map to K. I thought E would stop when we stopped playing, but she's downstairs calling, "Little sheep? Little sheep? Where are you little sheep? Oh there you are!" when she finds K.

I came upstairs to change. E quickly followed me asking, "what about K?" I then told her we'd go get her after I change. E then leaves the room and I hear, "Where are you little puppy? Where are you? Oh there you are! Come here little puppy, come here." I walk out to find her luring K over to the stairs (from the top of the stairs) with one of my headbands, and K crawling quickly as she can towards the stairs.

We're getting ready for bed. E calls me over and asks for a big hug and kiss. (She often does this so she can stay up a little longer.) As I give her a hug, she pats my back and says, "Mommy. Don't be scared of the dark ok? When the monster come, don't be scared ok? Ok Mommy? don't be scared of the dark?" I then had to say, "ok. I won't be scared." E says, "Ok. Good night. Sweet dreams. I love you and lays down.

K has been drooling alot lately. (She's finally getting her 3rd, and maybe 4th, tooth!) Well, she was drooling so much E saw and said, "Ewww mommy! A worm!" Pointing to the stand of drool on K.
